Bigger
and bigger tricks are being thrown all the time. People
never used to imagine someone pulling a double back
flip or even a 1080.
But
laying down these kinds of tricks is getting more and
more common.
It also used to be unheard of for a legit skater or
biker to unashamedly
follow Jesus Christ. But that too has changed. Christian
Hosoi and
many-many others throughout action sports are boldly
surrendering to
the One who first laid down His life for them.
"Greater
love has no one than this, that he lay down his life
for his friends."
This change has begun to take place as Christian believers
have committed to set aside
their judgment and criticism toward all the boarders,
bladers, and bikers. Instead they are
beginning to show love. For the past three years, God
has allowed Lay iT Down to help
churches reach a new group of young people who rarely
could be found sitting in a pew or
even attending a youth group. While hanging out in skate
parks or attending a comp for
locals, thousands of people heard about a new life found
in accepting God's love and
forgiveness.
