LiD TOUR UPDATES

June 12-15, 2007 ... Monument, CO

While at the Monument skate park, we skated with several locals about an hour. As we were about to leave, a youth pastor from one of the churches asked the guys to come to his group later that night. One of them responded, "How about you guys come and get drunk with us up in the mountains." This sparked the beginning of a long conversation regarding God, Jesus, religion, and everything in between. It was great to just sit down and talk about Christianity, even though most of them seemed quite opposed to what we were talking about.
Later that day I realized that I had forgotten my sweatshirt back at the skate park. Although I didn't find my sweatshirt when we went back, one of the skaters we were talking with earlier came up and asked again about what time the youth group started. He was thinking about checking it out.

We would never have gone back if it wasn't for my sweatshirt. But even though I didn't find it, I was approached by the skater and he wanted to know about the youth group. I saw this as a God thing and it got me more excited than any other trick I have landed during the tour. God is truly amazing in how he works.
